Colombia - Bogotá & Cartagena

Upon arrival in Bogotá, transfer to the hotel. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Early visit  of the Paloquemao market. In accompaniment of a Colombian chef guests will make shopping for their own lunch this day. Visit of the historic neighborhood La Candelaria as well as the famous Gold- and Botero Museum. In the private home of the chef guests will cook and enjoy together a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, meeting with an artist or visit of to the artist's studio. Afterwards guests will learn more about the Novel Writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez from a specialist. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

Visit of a small coffee factory where they can admire and participate in the selection and coffee roasting process while hearing the explanations of a specialist. Then coffee tasting and lunch. Afterwards, flight to Cartagena. During the transfer to the hotel, guests will enjoy the live Caribbean music at a typical open colored wooden"chiva" bus.

Drive up to the monastery of La Popa to enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over the city and the bay. Then visit of the San Felipe de Barajas fortress and the historic city center. At the end the guests will visit the convent San Pedro Claver. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit of an Emerald Atelier and Carriage ride during the sunset. Delightful dinner at a restaurant.

Full day visit of the Rosario Islands. Swimming and snorkeling in crystal clear water or relaxing at the beach. For lunch, guests will enjoy special seafood. In the afternoon, return to Cartagena. Farewell dinner at one of the oldest and most beautiful restaurants, folklore show included.

At due time, transfer to the airport for the return flight.
