Quito Arrival at the airport in Quito and transfer to the hotel. |

Quito On a walk through the historical center you will learn about the cities colonial past and pass by the most important sights. Then you will visit one of Quito’s oldest streets, “La Ronda”, which is home to many workshops and galleries. Here you will enjoy a chocolate tasting and learn about the process of making great chocolate. In the afternoon you will visit the house of Dolores Andrade, a local artist. You will get a tour through the house, the garden and the atelier. Afterwards, you have the possibility to buy the works of the artist. |

Quito - Nono In the morning you will visit the famous Equatorial Line Monument called “Mitad del Mundo”. You move on to the small museum "Inti Ñan", that illustrates the customs and traditions of ancient Ecuadorian cultures. You will also have the possibility to participate actively in experiments that show effects of the earth rotation. Drive towards the peaceful village of Nono, where you stay at the house of a local family. |

Nono After breakfast you will travel along the ecological route from Quinde to the subtropical valley of Tandayapa. On your way, you will visit an estate that is specialized in trout farming before you arrive to a private hummingbird reserve. Upon return to Nono you get an insight into the history and culture of the community during a walk across the cobblestoned streets. |

Nono - Otavalo Today you will discover the worldwide known Indian handicraft market in Otavalo. After a stroll over the market and the possibility for souvenir shopping, you will be introduced to an indigenous family from Otavalo and enjoy local Kichwa dishes served and cooked by the lovely Claudia and her mother. |

Otavalo You will visit the crater lake Laguna Cuicocha before you head towards Cotacachi, Ecuador’s center of leatherworks, where you have the opportunity to visit the various shops. |

Otavalo - Papallacta The journey continues to the Andean village Papallacta, which is famous for its thermal baths. Enjoy the pleasant effect of the warm, odorless thermal water surrounded by a wonderful landscape |

Papallacta - Cotopaxi You continue to the Hacienda El Porvenir, located near the Cotopaxi National Park. In the afternoon you explore the nature by horse. After a briefing you start a ride of 2 hours through a breathtaking landscape with wonderful views. Level of expertise required: Beginner. |

Cotopaxi - Baños On your way to Baños you will visit the Kichwa village Salasaca. You will first visit the museum of the village and later be introduced to different traditions and rites, before you participate in a traditional lunch. After arrival in Baños the remaining day is at leisure. |

Baños Today you will go on two hikes through terrific nature. First you will visit the famous waterfall “Pailon del Diablo“. Afterwards you head back to the Hacienda Manteles for a hike to the waterfall Payacucho. |

Baños - Quito On your way back to Quito you visit the Hacienda San Augustin del Callo, where you enjoy a farewell lunch. |

Quito Transfer to the airport for your international homebound flight. |
