Chile - Easter Island

Upon arrival in Santiago, flight to Easter Island and transfer to your hotel. After welcoming with flower leis, transfer to Hanga Piko, enjoying cocktails during the magnificent sunset. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

Drive to the south coast and visit representative examples of not restored platforms. Proceed to Rano Raraku where 397 stone statues are still lying or standing at the slopes of the extinct volcano with crater lake. Then guests will admire the 15 Moais at Ahu Tongariki, most recent and biggest restauration on the island. Barbecue lunch. Dinner at the hotel.

Excursion to the extinct volcano Rano Kau, proceeding to an outlook at the crater lake. Afterwards, drive to the ceremonial village of Orongo, where the guests can see the spectacular petroglyphs related to this culture and enjoy the breath taking view towards the 3 islets Motu Nui, Motu Iti and Kao Kao. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, guests will proceed to Tahai, where the only statue with re-inserted eyes is situated. A barbecue dinner awaits the guests in the evening.

Caves tour and hiking around the extinct Ma’unga Terevaka volcano. Then guests enjoy an outdoor lunch, close to the sacred place Ahu Akivi with its seven Moai statues and a sightseeing tour around this place. In the evening a Polynesian earthoven dinner with folklore show is waiting for the guests.

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Santiago. From there the guests will take their individual homebound flights.
