Peru, Chile - Nature Walks

Arrival in Lima and hotel transfer. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Today explore colonial Lima during a city tour. Visit to  the Larco Herrera Museum, which contains a large collection of pottery from Inca & pre-Inca civilizations.

Flight to Cusco, ancient capital of the Inca Empire. Walking tour with visits to the most important landmarks of the Incan and the Colonial times.

Explore the market of Pisac. In spite of its popularity, the market still retains its local charm. Visit to the fortress of Ollantaytambo, an important Inca site, and stroll through the cobblestone streets of Ollanta town.

Beginning of the most famous Inca Trail Hike (shared basis). Transfer to Piskacuchu, starting point of the Inca Trail. Follow the trail to Miskay and the Inca city Llactapata, and on to Huayllabamba. Overnight in tents.

Reach the first mountain pass, Abra Warmihuanusca, and see how landscapes change from sierra to puna to cloud forest. Descend into the Pacaymayo valley.

Depart from Pacamayo and reach Runkurakay circular and Sayamarca ruins. From Sayamarca the stone trail leads into the jungle. Cross “The Tunnel”, a natural cavity. Camp at the Phuyupatamarca ruins.

Short trek to Winay Wayna ruins. Head toward Inti Punku, the famous Sun Gate. From this fabulous spot, guests watch the sun rise over the sacred citadel of Machu Picchu. Guided visit to the lost city of the Incas, then return by train and bus to Cusco.

Scenic drive to Puno, all along the Andean high plateau, passing by fantastic landscapes and small villages. En-route visit to Racchi & Andahuaylillas.

Today walk another Inca trail, starting in Chacras, and passing by the community of Santa Rosa de Yanaque. At Copamaya, guests enjoy great views of Lake Titicaca.

Drive to Juliaca airport & flight to Santiago (via Lima).

Flight to Calama and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama. Moon walking trekking tour visiting curious geological formations, caves, valleys and ridges.

Visit of the archeological sites of Quitor. 4 hours hike which allows to discover the Catarpe Valley, the Rio Grande groove and its petroglyphs. Hike "in the water" to get a fascinating experience full of emotions.

4 hours hike to discover the Guatin and Puritama valley before reaching the Puritama Hot Springs.

Early excursion to visit the El Tatio geyser and the village of Machuca, a place built of adobe, straw and cactus houses. Transfer to Calama, flight to Santiago for homebound flight.
