Lima - Urubamba Valley Flight to Cusco and transfer to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Guests explore the traditional market of Pisac. In spite of its popularity, the market still retains its local charm. Continue to the fortress of Ollantaytambo, an important Inca site, and stroll through the narrow cobblestone streets of Ollanta town. |

Urubamba Valley On a full day tour guests continue to Moray, famous for its embedded amphitheatre. Visit to the Salt Mines of Maras, where layers of beige and white salt pants are still used to crystallize salt from water. Evening at leisure. |

Urubamba - Machu Picchu - Cusco Transfer to Ollantaytambo where guests take the Vistadome train to Machu Picchu. Re-discovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, Machu Picchu is the only known Inca city to remain intact. Guided tour of the citadel’s agricultural terraces, houses and temples. In the afternoon return to Cusco by train and bus. |

Cusco (Inti Raymi, June 24th) Transfer to the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, where the festival of Inti Raymi is held each year. This day marks the winter solstice, the beginning of the Sun’s New Year. The inhabitants of Cusco traditionally involve visitors to enjoy and marvel this most special day. Apart from the official ceremony that takes place at Sacsayhuaman, various street celebrations, live concerts and expositions can be enjoyed in Cusco. |
