Highlights of Uruguay

Arrival at the airport of Montevideo.
During a halfday sightseeing tour guests will get to know the manifold capital city of Uruguay.

Full day excursion to Punta del Este, the sophisticated seaside resort and venue of the jet set. Visit Casapueblo, private home and atelier of the famous artist Carlos Páez Vilaró (died in February 2014), the elegant residential areas of Punta del Este and the close-by village La Barra with its unique rope bridges. With a little luck guests will see at the harbour sea-lions between impressive yachts and local fisher boats. In the afternoon return to Montevideo.

Transfer to Estancia Finca Piedra, around 1,5h away from Montevideo. The Estancia is located at the foot of the Mahoma Mountains, near to the small village of San José. Guests will have the possibility to relax, to enjoy delicious organic food or go riding in the surrounding area. Lunch and dinner will be included (no drinks except filtered water).

Day at leisure to attend the activities offered by the estancia. Lunch and dinner will be included.

Transfer to Colonia del Sacramento, one of the few preserved colonial cities in the south of South America. City walk through the historic center and the famous „Calle de los Suspiros”. Colonia disposes of historical value and sights as well as of beautiful nature on the river banks of Rio de la Plata.

Transfer by ferry (Buquebus) from Colonia to Buenos Aires. Individual extension program or homebound flight.
