Day Routing
01 Quito

Arrival in Quito, the capital of Ecuador. Situated in a circle of mountainous Anden peaks, Quito has one of the most magnificent settings in the world. Remaining day at leisure.

02 Quito

Enjoy a sightseeing tour exploring the colourful history of colonial Quito with the Cathedral and the church of La Compañia. Continue to the middle of the world monument „Mitad del Mundo“, where the southern and northern hemisphere meet.

03 Quito - Coca

Flight to Coca and transfer to the port of Río Napo. Onward journey by motorized canoe downstream to board the M/V Anakonda and enjoy an adventurous nocturnal ride through the rainforest.

04 Amazon Region

Visit the Kichwa Sani Warmi Interpretation Centre and learn about lifestyle and culture. Hike through the Yasuní National Park and explore the „sounds of nature“. In the afternoon visit a canopy tower, which measures 37m and was built next to a giant kapok tree. From here you can see the forest in a totally new way. Explore how birds and monkeys live in the trees and enjoy the magnificence of the Amazon area.

05 Amazon Region

Head over to the Parrot Clay licks, where you will witness one of the most exciting wildlife spectacles in the Amazon. On some days you can observe hundreds of parrots. Explore the Interpretation Centre Kichwa Yakukawsay and enjoy an ethnic-cultural meeting. It is a unique opportunity to learn about the Amazonian lifestyle at the bank of the Napo River. Night camping glamorously (glamping) in the jungle in luxury tents including gourmet meals, champagne and hot showers.

**Remark: The M/V Anakonda decides on which day the Glamping will be done.

06 Coca - Papallacta

Transfer to the airport of Coca to catch the flight back to Quito and continue the journey to Papallacta, famous for its thermal baths. Your will visit the baths of the Hotel “Termas de Papallacta” and enjoy the pleasant effect of the warm odourless thermal water surrounded by a wonderful landscape.

07 Papallacta - Quito - Galapagos

Transfer to Quito and flight to Galapagos. Transfer from Baltra airport to the port of Santa Cruz to take a public speed boat to Isabela Island. Upon arrival drive on to reach the Scalesia Lodge. Dinner at the lodge.

08 Isabela Island

Visit the Tintoreras, an islet formed by lava flows, and the Humedales, where you can find the four species of mangroves existing in the Galapagos Archipelago. Full board included.

09 Isabela Island

Some of Isabelas best attractions are on today‘s program, like the Sierra Negra and the Chico Volcano. Enjoy a lunch box in the area and dinner at the lodge.

10 Isabela Island - Santa Cruz Island

Transfer from Isabela to Santa Cruz by speed boat to visit the highlands of Santa Cruz. Lunch at a typical hacienda. At the Tortoise Reserve experience the giant tortoises in their natural habitat, in addition to the abundant bird life in the highlands. Drive on to the Galapagos Safari Camp for a 5-day stay with overnight in Safari tents and full board during the next days. Sunset cocktail followed by dinner.  

11-12 Santa Cruz Island

Boat excursions to one of the uninhabited neighbouring islands: North Seymour, a small flat island surrounded by low cliffs or the volcanic island Bartholomew or Santa Fé, one of the oldest islands of the archipelago or South Plaza Island, the home of amazing variety of wildlife. Lunch on board, dinner at the camp.

13 Santa Cruz Island

Excursion to Cerro Mesa. This part of the island offers spectacular views and boasts the largest crater on Santa Cruz Island. Visit Garrapatero beach, where the contrast of mangroves, black lava, white sand and turquoise water is magnificent.

14 Santa Cruz Island - Guayaquil/Quito

On the last day at the Galapagos Safari Camp enjoy the sunrise from the camp’s viewpoint. Transfer to the airport of Baltra and flight back to the mainland.
