Peru - Amazon & Desert

Arrival in Lima and welcome by a folkloric group at the airport. Transfer to the Hotel Country Club Lima and time to relax from the long flight. At night panoramic tour through the illuminated historical center of Lima. Welcome cocktail and dinner at the hotel.

Transfer along the Panamericana to Ica. Lunch will be served near the dunes. Afterwards guests experience a racy buggy drive along the sand dunes or drabble in sand boarding. Continue to Paracas. The dinner will take place in the extrordinary atmosphere of the desert plain. Overnight at Hotel Luxury Collection & Spa Paracas.

Paracas offers both, a great variety of wildlife on the Ballesta Islands - with huge colonies of sea lions, seals, dolphins and marine birds - and archaeological sites of the important Paracas culture. After a 2-hour boat excursion guests will return to Lima by bus or charter flight. Exclusive visit of the famous Larco Herrera Museum in the evening. Dinner will be served in the garden of the museum.

Flight to Iquitos and board the MV Aria river boat, the most exciting way to explore the Amazon region. The MV Aria is comfortable modern boat with 16 large guest suites all equipped with "en-suite" facilities like shower, warm water and air conditioning. The ship offers a dining room, bar and outside-lounge, observation deck, Open-Air Jacuzzi and exercise room. Enjoy a 4 day cruise incluiding daily activities like Piranha fishing, soft survival training in the deep rainforest, walking and canoe tours.

The time in the jungle comes to an end. Return to Iquitos for disembarkation. Flight to Lima in the evening and overnight at Hotel Country Club Lima.

In the morning visit a typical market to buy all ingredients for lunch. During a cooking class guests will learn to create together a delicious Peruvian main dish. After lunch free time to relax or to visit the city and its museums. At due time guests will be taken to the airport for their homebound flight.
